Salem Community College Stays Unbeaten, Improves to 9–0 with 69–59 Win Over Camden County College
Carneys Point, N.J. - Salem Community College men's basketball continued its undefeated run on Wednesday night, grinding out a 69–59 victory over Camden County College in a key Garden State Athletic Conference matchup. The win moves the Oaks to a perfect 9–0 on the season.
Salem controlled the pace from the opening tip, relying on balanced scoring and disciplined team defense to keep Camden at bay. Five Oaks scored in double figures, showcasing the depth that has fueled the team's flawless start.
Jarrell Little delivered a strong performance, scoring 14 points while knocking down four three-pointers (4–11 from deep). Little also added 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and a block in 32 minutes of action.
Matching him with 14 points, Saaid Lee was efficient at the rim (6–10 FG) and contributed all over the box score with 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and steady on-ball control.
Forward Nasseem Wright once again proved to be an anchor, recording a near double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, along with 5 assists and a steal.
Stefan Phillips provided a perfect shooting night, going 5-for-5 from the field to finish with 10 points, 4 rebounds, and a pair of defensive plays that helped swing momentum in the second half.
Off the bench, Idris Rines delivered a key spark, scoring 10 points on 4–7 shooting, including two made threes. His 24 high-energy minutes helped Salem maintain control whenever Camden attempted a run.
Salem's defensive commitment was evident throughout the night. The Oaks held Camden to 59 points, applying disciplined rotations, cleaning the glass, and forcing tough shots late in the shot clock. Wright and Lee combined for 10 defensive rebounds, stabilizing Salem during crucial moments.
The Oaks return home for their next contest as they look to keep their undefeated season alive. Salem will host Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology on Thursday, December 4 at the DuPont Fieldhouse. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
