Cross-Country Makes It's Return to Salem
Carneys Point, NJ - Salem Community College begins their first season of Cross Country since the 2019-2020 school year. They open up their season September 20, when they head up to Stockton University to compete in the Osprey Open. Lily Cole, Daniella Gustin, Chantelle Haskie, Breanne Ruhl, and Linda Smith are the five runners for the Mighty Oaks this season.
Head coach Ashley Johnson said, "It's an honor to work with our small group of student-athletes as these are students who will be making history at SCC to get a program 'up and running' again. They have made an impression on campus and throughout the community with their commitment to academics and athletics, and beyond with community service."
The Mighty Oaks have been on an athletic spree as of recently, adding women's volleyball to their 2026 lineup. If all goes well with cross country this year, Salem Community College will have almost doubled their athletics program in the past two years. Bright things are ahead as the Mighty Oaks continue to grow.
